Privacy Counsel / DPO

Privacy counsel (sometimes Data Protection Officer) handles GDPR, CCPA, and the alphabet soup of privacy laws. They review product features for privacy implications, draft privacy policies, handle data subject requests, and manage privacy-related contracts (DPAs, SCCs).

Reviewing a new feature for privacy risk, responding to a customer DPA request, updating the privacy policy, and partnering with security on incident response.
