AEs own deals from 'first real conversation' to 'signed contract.' They run discovery, demo the product, build the business case, navigate procurement, and handle the inevitable last-minute curveball from legal. The job is half therapist, half consultant, half Excel wizard โ€” yes, three halves, sales math.

a typical day

Back-to-back calls. Discovery in the morning, a demo at 11, a pricing convo after lunch, then 90 minutes of CRM updates and follow-up emails they swore they'd do during the call.
