Account Managers (AMs) take over from AEs once a deal closes. Their job is to keep the customer happy AND grow the account through renewals and expansion (more seats, more products). Some companies blur this with CSM; others split it cleanly so CSMs own value and AMs own commercials.

Quarterly business review with a top customer, a renewal pricing convo, an expansion proposal, and a Slack thread chasing internal approvals for a discount.
